Jevco Insurance

Jevco is an insurer of motorcycles and other such loud-engined vehicles as snowmobiles and all-terrain vehicles in the provinces of Alberta, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario, and Quebec. The company also sells non-standard automobile and non-standard home insurance for customers who might otherwise have trouble getting coverage. Jevco Insurance sells its insurance products through independent brokers. The company was acquired by financial services and insurance firm Kingsway Financial in 1997. Kingsway now intends to sell its majority interest in Jevco to Westaim for C$263 million.
